A new book vending machine at Hogg New Tech Center is bringing more than books to campus—it’s creating opportunities to motivate, inspire, and prepare students for success.
The Dallas Education Foundation was honored to join Hogg’s students, educators, families, and community partners for a celebration centered on reading and the bright futures ahead of its Razorbacks. Made possible through the support of Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut Foundation, and BOOK IT!®, the new book vending machine helps expand access to books for Dallas ISD students and encourages a love of reading.
A Celebration Led by Student Voices
The unveiling brought the Hogg community together for a thoughtful, student-centered ceremony. One of the most memorable moments was hearing Razorbacks share what reading means to them. Their reflections and personalities served as a reminder of why access to books matters: every student deserves opportunities to explore new ideas, discover their interests, and imagine what comes next.
Special thanks go to Principal Molina, Ms. Ericson, Ms. Avila, Dr. Garduno, Regional Superintendent Hussain, Victor, Nollie, Hogg Cheer, Hogg Soccer, and the Razorbacks of the Month for helping make the celebration so meaningful. The parents who attended added to the sense of community, showing students that their growth and success are shared priorities.
Partners Helping Turn the Page
The Dallas Education Foundation is deeply grateful to Pizza Hut, Pizza Hut Foundation, and BOOK IT!® for their partnership and commitment to literacy. Their investment at Hogg puts books within reach and supports a school community dedicated to helping students thrive.
Thank you to Prisma, Bruce, and the entire Pizza Hut team for making a meaningful, tangible difference for Hogg’s Razorbacks. Partnerships like these connect community generosity with opportunities that students can see, experience, and carry forward.
Building Bright Futures Through Books
The new book vending machine is a lasting reminder of what can happen when schools, families, and partners come together around student success. For Hogg’s Razorbacks, it represents another invitation to read, learn, and discover their potential.
The Dallas Education Foundation is proud to help make these opportunities possible—and to celebrate the people and partnerships opening new chapters for Dallas ISD students.
