A long-awaited dream became a reality at James Bowie Elementary School as the school community celebrated the unveiling of its new book vending machine, made possible by GPD Employees’ Foundation in partnership with the Dallas Education Foundation.
The celebration brought cheers, excitement, and a shared commitment to literacy. The new machine gives students another reason to get excited about books—and another opportunity to discover stories that spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage a lifelong love of reading.
A Growing Investment in Dallas ISD
The installation at James Bowie Elementary marks the third book vending machine supported by GPD Employees’ Foundation in Dallas ISD. That continued investment helps expand access to books and creates meaningful opportunities to celebrate reading across the district.
