The Dallas Education Foundation is committed to advancing literacy by putting books into the hands and homes of our Dallas ISD students. With 86% of Dallas ISD’s student population being economically disadvantaged, a majority of our students lack age-appropriate books at home. For a donation of $10,000, SGAC can provide a fully stocked book vending machine to a high-need elementary school in Dallas ISD. Through this program, students will be able to earn tokens, “purchase” a culturally relevant book of their choice, and take it home to start building their home library.
