Celebrating Literacy and Creativity at Jesús Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard

(Dallas, TX) — Joy, excitement, and a love of reading filled the campus at Jesús Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard as students, families, and educators gathered to celebrate the unveiling of a brand-new book vending machine.

The event was especially meaningful as many students chose to stay after school to participate—earning a book of their own and proudly taking home stories they were excited to read. Moments like these highlight the power of choice and access in building strong reading habits and lifelong learners.

Dallas Education Foundation was warmly welcomed by Principal Tavallaee, Mr. Benoit, Eleanor, and the incredible Moroles students, staff, and families. Moroles truly is a hidden gem, with a vibrant school culture fueled by creativity, engaged parents, and a deep commitment to student success. From student enthusiasm to innovative plans for incorporating book reviews and classroom connections, the Moroles community is already finding creative ways to bring the book vending machine to life.
