(Dallas, TX) — Dallas County Judge Clay Lewis Jenkins is proud to support Dallas ISD as a Year-Round “Lifetime of Learning” sponsor, calling the Dallas Education Foundation (DEF) “a great investment” for charitable dollars.
In a recent message to the community, Judge Jenkins shared why this work matters to him personally—both as a longtime supporter of Dallas ISD and as a Dallas ISD parent.
“Not only am I a big DISD supporter, I’m a DISD parent and I know firsthand the value of a DISD education.”
Our students are the future—and community investment strengthens our quality of life
Judge Jenkins underscored what’s at stake for Dallas and the region: the success of students today becomes the strength of our workforce and community tomorrow.
“Our student body at our schools, they are literally our future.”
He also highlighted the impact of helping students become military, college, and career ready—support that benefits employers and families across Dallas County.
“When you can help get kids military, college, or career ready as they’re leaving high school, that not only helps your business, it helps the quality of life in our entire community.”
A call to stand with Dallas ISD—year-round
Judge Jenkins encouraged the community to join him in supporting Dallas ISD students through DEF.
“I would encourage you to join me in supporting the Dallas Education Foundation. It’s a great use of your dollars.”
Supporting the whole child
In his remarks, Judge Jenkins also pointed to the importance of student well-being and supportive learning environments—highlighting the resources Dallas ISD provides to help students thrive.
“DISD has more mental health professionals helping our kids than any other large urban school district in the United States.”
He emphasized the importance of strong learning environments as part of a student’s full experience—academically and beyond.
“DISD campuses are some of the best facilities in the state of Texas… to make sure that our children’s experience is a great one and that they succeed not only in school, but as they enter young adulthood.”
An investment you can’t measure
Judge Jenkins closed with a reminder of the value behind this mission—supporting the education, well-being, and joy of children.
“There’s no price that you can put on the education and the happiness of a child. And the Dallas Education Foundation is a great investment for your charitable dollars.”
